NOTE: Seagate 500 GB SATA drives provide a feature called SSC (Spread Spectrum Clocking), which helps to reduce electronic emissions in very high density multi-drive environments. Seagate has indicated that it is not required in smaller array environments and has provided a utility to disable this feature; this utility and more information is available from Seagate at the following link: http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/faq/ssc.html. Ciprico recommends that this feature be disabled.
The user documentation and BIOS firmware are the same for the BC4000 series controllers on both Windows and Linux platforms. Operating system drivers and applications for the BC4000 series controllers are unique to each platform, select the desired platform for downloads.
